A SECOND public consultation which could see Bradford lose a parliamentary constituency will begin later this month.
The Boundary Commission for England will run the second consultation of the 2018 Boundary Review from Tuesday, February 28, to Monday, March 27.
Under the proposals, the number of MPs in the House of Commons may be cut from 533 to 501.
Bradford South, which is served by Labour MP Judith Cummins, currently serves six Bradford Council wards, which under the new plans would be broken up into four neighbouring parliamentary areas.
The number of main Bradford seats would be reduced from five to four, with further re-jigging in Bradford West and Bradford East to ensure each constituency contained an electorate of between 71,031 and 78,507 voters, the number required by law in the new proposals.
