PLANS to create more spaces at two primary schools have been approved.
Poplars Farm Primary, Bolton and All Saints CofE Primary, Ilkley, will both take on more pupils after the Council’s Executive gave the expansions the green light yesterday.
A third expansion, of Steeton Primary School, was postponed to assess the demand for places in Steeton and the Keighley area.
Councillor Imran Khan, Executive member for education, employment and skills, said: “We need places throughout the district and we have always been very clear we will put these places where they are needed.”
Council leader Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe said Bradford had a large number of young people.
She said: “We need to make sure they have school places so it’s good to see we are using this money wisely and well.”
