FIREFIGHTERS called out to an attic fire in Manningham have discovered a cannabis farm.
Crews from Bradford and Fairweather Green fire stations broke through the front door of the unoccupied property in Westfield Road after getting a call from the public reporting smoke coming out of the top floor at about 10.30pm yesterday.
At its peak about 15 firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the flames.
The cause is believed to have been an electrical fault.
Fire burned through the floorboards of the attic into the rooms below, making the whole house uninhabitable.
Police are investigating a crime of cannabis production.
