It was love at first sight when the current owners saw this impressive detached four bedroom property which was to be their home for the next 13 years.

“The house had great kerb appeal with lovely proportions and attractive frontage.

“The generous amount of space between the houses created a wonderful sense of privacy.

“As we stepped inside, the house welcomed us with a huge and we knew we had found our home.”

The house was built in 1998 by a small quality developer and the new owners liked the fact that it was a small exclusive development of executive style family homes.

“The family we purchased it from were the first occupants – a couple with three young children who all loved the house.

“They had landscaped the garden with a beautiful rockery which we have enjoyed and added to over the years.”

The house was in excellent condition, so all the new owners had to do was move in and start their new life.

“All we had to do was decorate to our own taste and enjoy.”

The work carried out including upgrading the en-suite shower room with new white sanitary ware and travertine effect tiling.

“The only thing left for us to do was to make it beautiful by using a professional interior designer for the curtains and blinds throughout the house, and installing ambient and directional lighting.”

Professional decorators painted the interior and also laid wood effect laminate floors in two of the bedrooms for easy cleaning. “We also installed a loft ladder which makes access to the loft quick and easy.”

Anxious to get everything right, and because the house was in such good condition, the work was carried out over time, and is a credit to their thoughtful approach.

Large windows in the spacious lounge allow lots of natural light to flood through the room, which provides stunning views over the Aire Valley, while luxury deep pile carpets offers comfort underfoot.

The finishing touch is a coal effect gas fire with mantelpiece which adds a cosy feel to the room.

There is an arch into the large dining room which is also light and airy due to the secure patio doors leading out to the garden which once again provides beautiful views – this time over the garden and rockery with its ever changing colours.

Again there are large windows in the kitchen/utility offering attractive. This is a family space with an abundance of storage, including a walk-in cupboard/larder – and you can never have too much storage in a kitchen.

Appliances include an electric fan oven, has hob, and extractor.

Through an arch is a useful utility room with space for a den, dishwasher and washing machine, as well as a tumble drier. From here a back door leads out into the garden, while another leads into the downstairs cloakroom.

The master bedroom is a large, light and airy room with glorious views and a luxurious set of fitted wardrobes, bedside tables and chests of drawers.

The en suite is a good sized room with a shower with screen, travertine effect tiling and while sanitary ware.

There are three further bedrooms, all of a good size, all of which have lovely views.

Finally, the family bathroom was professionally painted with wall murals of seaside views.

Outside is the added bonus of a large garage which has two additional storage rooms – one a loft space over the whole garage, and a small area to the side.

“Our favourite room is the through lounge/dining room which is out place for rest and relaxation. Which has also been a great space for sharing and entertaining.

“The views of the moors and ever changing colours in the gardens, make this a beautiful place to be.

“This home has been filled with a sense of space and quietness as well as many times of happiness and joy – coupled with a strong sense of security and wellbeing.

“The icing on the cake has been the helpful and considerate neighbours.

“From here we will move on with confidence and happy memories. Missing here is not an option, as it will be in our hearts forever.”
