ADDINGHAM'S City of Bradford Swimming Club newcomer Hermione Roe struck gold seven times in the Yorkshire Swimming Association’s Winter Championships at the John Charles Centre for Sport in Leeds.
The youngster’s top performance came in the 50 metres breaststroke, where she recorded a winning time of 35.09sec in what the club believe to be one of the fastest ever swims for an 11-year-old girl.
Hermione took six other county titles – the 50m and 100m freestyle, 50m and 100m butterfly, 200m individual medley and 100m breaststroke.
She also won silver in the 50m backstroke and bronze in the 100m backstroke.
Burley-in-Wharfedale's Archie Minto swam well-paced races over the shorter distances to win silver in the 50m butterfly and bronze in the 100m backstroke.
Newcomer Charlotte Gibbs, from Menston, was also a medallist, claiming bronze in the 14 years' 100m breaststroke and fourth place in the 50m breaststroke.
Other top-ten placings went to Burley-in-Wharfedale's Wilbur Summerson (3).
