Damian and Hazel Hampson, of Cross Hills, near Skipton, raised £1,025 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance at their wedding on Saturday, June 9.
The groom decided the needs of the service were greater than their need for presents, so guests were asked to dig deep to raise money.
Following the ceremony, at Skipton register office, the couple left for Glusburn Institute on a JCB digger driven by Damian.
There, 150 friends and family enjoyed pie and peas and were entertained by a folk band.
