More than 100 life-sized scarecrows are set to take over a village this summer. The annual Kettlewell Scarecrow Festival will take place between August 11 and August 19 to celebrate traditional country skills. Visitors to the family event can follow the trail of scarecrows around Kettlewell, in Wharfedale, and will have the chance to win prizes. Proceeds will go to the Church, village hall and school. Extensive parking for cars and coaches is available. For further information visit www.kettlewell.info or e-mail kwellscarecrows@aol.com.
