A mother and daughter were seriously injured in a crash between a car and a lorry in Bradford yesterday afternoon.
A silver Vauxhall Corsa and an HGV were involved in the collision at around 2.45pm, which happened on Keighley Road in Frizinghall, close to Bradford Grammar School and Lister Park.
A 43-year-old mother and her ten-year-old daughter travelling in the Corsa were taken to the BRI with what are believed to be serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The HGV driver is believed to have minor injuries.
The road was closed for more than six hours, and traffic was diverted along North Park Road and Emm Lane. Keighley Road reopened at around 8.45pm.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: “There was a call from the ambulance at 2.48pm for a collision between a car and a lorry and the fire service attended to deal with a fuel leak, and Keighley Road was closed from the junctions with Frizinghall Road to Cunliffe Road.”
