YOUNG artists learned that drawing is not just limited to a pencil and paper at a Bradford Gallery today.
South Square Gallery in Thornton held a Big Draw session in support of the national celebration of drawing.
Led by the Gallery’s Young Roots group, the aim of the event was to mix art with science, and the young people who attended got to work with artists to take part in dazzling light drawing, which saw them literally drawing on thin air, leaf printing and sketching giant postcards.
Tomorrow there will be a Big Draw event in Bradford Industrial Museum in Eccleshill from 11am to 3pm, and on Thursday Cartwright Hall hosts a drawing event from 11am to 3pm inspired by two of its current exhibitions.
The annual Big Draw event aims to spark young people’s creativity by encouraging them to draw, and involves venues throughout the country.
