STAFF at the Bingley fashion firm - Damart - will be pretty in pink on Friday, October 21.
Workers at the company's headquarters in Bingley and Steeton warehouse are being encouraged to 'think pink' by donning bold and colourful outfits and accessories for 'Wear it Pink' day - a nationwide awareness day to raise money for Breast Cancer Now.
Jo Phipps, the firm's employee engagement advisor, said: “There is a great team spirit amongst the Damart staff and we love getting involved in Wear It Pink Day as it’s a fun calendar date that all of our staff look forward to, and a great opportunity to raise awareness for a worthwhile cause.”
Ben Phillips, its new senior customer experience manager, added: "We have supported Breast Cancer Now for over a decade and to date we have raised more than £170,000 through sales of our charity Pink Vest.
"Most of our customers are women over 50 who are most likely to be affected by breast cancer, which is why we are always keen to support the partnership and fundraise for the charity any way we can - and what better way than to wear it pink.”
