THREE men remain in custody today following a police raid on a prominent Bradford jewellery business. 

A dozen people were arrested yesterday afternoon after officers swooped on the premises of Fowler Oldfield on Hall Lane in Bowling. 

The trio are being held on suspicion of money laundering offences. 

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "Of the 12 people arrested after a warrant was executed at a premises on Hall Lane, Bradford, yesterday, three remain in custody.

"This is part of a ongoing financial investigation supported by the National Crime Agency.

"The three men were arrested on suspicion of money laundering.

"Enquiries remain ongoing."

The Hall Lane site acts as a trade counter and refinery for the firm, which was established in Bradford in 1897.

The company was contacted by the T&A yesterday but is yet to comment on the police investigation.
