A NEW BP petrol station with Marks & Spencer store opened for business today in Keighley Road, Bingley.
The £1.5 million development has seen a complete rebuild of the site, which was formerly a Jet petrol station, and the creation of 22 new jobs in the town.
Along with the petrol pumps and M&S Simply Food store, there is also disabled access toilets and baby changing facilities.
Councillor Terry Brown, chairman of Bingley Town Council, and staff member Sabir Ismil cut a ribbon cutting to mark its official opening.
Elizabeth Hunt, district manager for BP, said: “The new store and introduction of the M&S Simply Food range means we have been able to create 22 new jobs for people in the local area.
“It’ll be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing customers with a selected range of Marks & Spencer’s high quality fresh, innovative food alongside the best of BP fuels.”
Planning permission for the development was approved by Bradford Council in February.
