A MAN believed to be from Bradford has been arrested for trying to smuggle 16 kilos of heroin onto a plane in Pakistan.
The arrest was made at Benazir Bhutto Islamabad International Airport on July 17.
The man is believed to be a British national of Pakistani origin and unconfirmed reports have indicated he is from Bradford.
The drugs were said to have been stashed among clothes in a suitcase belonging to the passenger who was boarding an Islamabad to Manchester flight number PK-785.
He was held at the airport and handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force.
A spokesman for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office said: "We are providing assistance to a British National arrested in Pakistan."
They were not able to comment about where the man was from.
