THE funeral of a Bradford peace campaigner, singer and songwriter will take place on June 30 at St Paul’s Church, Manningham.
Karl Dallas (pictured) died last week aged 85, with his wife Gloria by his side.
The campaigner, who was named after German philosopher Karl Marx, and was signed up to the Independent Labour Party on the day he was born by his socialist parents, spent much of his adult life fighting for justice.
In 2003 he travelled to Iraq on a double deck bus from Bradford to act as a human shield, and also led a campaign to save Manningham baths.
His funeral will take place at St Paul’s from 12.30pm and a New Orleans jazz band will follow the procession. into the church. Collections will be made for Marie Curie and the Morning Star.
