PHILIP Davies has spoken more times in the Commons than any other MP in 2015/16, new figures reveal.
The Conservative MP for Shipley contributed 438 times in Parliament in that 12-month period, according to his office.
He was 41 ahead of second-placed Kettering MP Philip Hollobone.
"Speaking in the Commons is a way to get the views and concerns of my constituents across to ministers and Government departments," said Mr Davies (pictured).
"I take advantage of all the options open to me to raise issues and problems that need to be tackled in my constituency.
"I take the responsibility of passing legislation very seriously and have always said I will scrutinise thoroughly, as I think laws should not be made for the sake of it.
"My constituency should be actively represented in Parliament and I will continue to work hard to ensure that is the case."
The 2015-16 year saw Parliament sit for 151 days and pass 24 Bills, meaning Mr Davies spoke on average three times a day.
