THE trial of a mother from Bradford accused of murdering her two young daughters is set to start today.
Samira Lupidi is due at Bradford Crown Court this morning on charges of murdering one-year-old Jasmine Weaver and three-year-old Evelyn Lupidi.
Lupidi appeared in court last month to enter not guilty pleas to murder, but guilty pleas to manslaughter due to diminished responsibility.
At that hearing, prosecutor Stephen Wood said those pleas were not acceptable and Lupidi would go on trial on the murder charges.
Lupidi was arrested in November last year after police found the girls with stab wounds.
Paramedics treated both girls at the scene but they died a short time later.
