Immanuel College in Thackley won the Achievement Award this year for the support and guidance it offers to pupils.
Immanuel and its staff has helped both its own pupils and pupils from other schools reach their potential through partnership working.
The person who nominated the school asked to remain anonymous, but said: “Strong leadership and an army of dedicated professionals ensure that every child’s potential is maximised and all pupils are well supported and guided.”
Head Jane Tiller said she was “delighted” and “surprised” with the nomination, adding that she did not know who had put the school forward. She said: “Our key to success is constant change, but thoughtful change so that we’re able to move students’ achievements forward and help develop students’ personal attributes so they can play a part in wider society.
“One of the best things is enabling students to make the most of their options when they leave school. That’s what a school is for, to prepare children for the wider world.”
After collecting the award on behalf of the entire school, she said: "We all work as a team to ensure that our children do the best they can.
"I think when I take this award into school everyone will be thrilled, not just the staff but the governors, the students and parents."
The award was sponsored by Keighley College.
