AS she gears up for her first triathlon, the Lord Mayor of Bradford has been for her first training session on her new bike.
Councillor Joanne Dodds has been preparing for the Great Northern Trail triathlon which takes place on March 27 at Queensbury Pool.
For the leg of the race that takes place on two wheels, the Lord Mayor has been loaned a bike by Cycle Queensbury, and took it for a spin with John Coulton, a sports facilities manager at Bradford Council.

The Lord Mayor said: "I've never done a triathlon before, so I am really looking forward to this.
"It certainly is going to be a challenge because I have not been on a bike for years; I enjoy swimming and running so I think I should be okay with those elements.
"As I've not got a bike of my own it was great to be offered the loan of a bike by Cycle Queensbury, it is a fantastic organisation doing some great work in Queensbury to get people cycling.
"I am raising money for my Lord Mayor's Appeal which is going towards the Bradford Hospitals Children's Charity and my Spread A Smile Appeal."
