Helicopter scrambled to rescue injured walker
AN injured walker was rescued tonight from moorland above Ogden Water, between Denholme and Halifax, after he was spotted by an observer in a police helicopter.
Police units on the ground and ambulance staff were guided to the injured man by the helicopter. There was no information about his injuries.
The rescue took place at around 7.30.
A tweet by the police helicopter - @NPAS_CarrGate - said: "Moor above Ogden Water. Located injured walker. Ground units and ambulance staff guided to him."
