AROUND 20 more jobs will be created by a Bradford-based national online car buying business after it secured a multi-million pound investment from a long-standing motor industry funder.
Tom Marley, chief executive of The Car Buying Group, based at the former Diplomat hotel premises on Sunbridge Road, plans to use the investment to increase market share, including doing more business with corporate clients .
The business, which currently has 85 drop off locations across the UK and a national collection service, plans to double its workforce in the next six months and again in the following year.
Funding has been provided by The Greenhous Group, founded in 1912, and will enable The Car Buying Group, which formed in 2014 and has a £20 million turnover, to accelerate growth. It will also drive expansion in other operations, increasing turnover three times in year one and again in year two.
Tom Marley said: “It is an exciting time for us as we share a vision to grow the brand - we are like-minded individuals and it was clear from the first meeting that we clicked. Their experience in the motor industry is fantastic and I believe we can learn so much working together.”
Kerry Finnon, The Greenhous Group joint chief executive, added: “We’re really excited to be joining forces with a company that’s at the cutting edge of what is a rapidly expanding sector.
“Our commitment to innovation and great customer service makes this a perfect match, and we’re looking forward to working together.”
