A TIRELESS fundraiser who has raised thousands of pounds for charity is to be honoured at a civic reception at Bradford City Hall.

Jamie Boyle, who has myeloproliferative disorder and high blood platelets, volunteers as a Street Angel and has raised thousands of pounds for charities including St Martin’s Hospice, Marie Curie, Macmillan Nurses, Clic Sergeant children with cancer, St James's Hospital Children's Ward, Bradford Cancer Support and Brain Tumour Research.

More recently, he has been raising money for Bradford's Plastic Surgery and Burns Research Unit by producing t-shirts and hoodies as a way of remembering those who died in the Bradford City fire disaster 30 years ago this year.

The Lord Mayor of Bradford Councillor Joanne Dodds is hosting a civic reception tomorrow to recognise Mr Boyle's achievements.

Cllr Dodds said: "Jamie is an amazing person. I know he is not well and at times really struggles with his health but still continues to work tirelessly for others.

"He is a real inspiration and on behalf of all the charities he has supported I want to say massive thank you."
