ANOTHER budget airline will introduce flights from Leeds Bradford Airport to Spain next Spring.

Leading Spanish low cost airline Vueling will operate servies between the Yeadon hub and Barcelona from March 28, 2016 providing twice weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays .

Flights on both days will depart Leeds Bradford at 9.15am and depart Barcelona at 7am. The new service will provide connections across Vueling's extensive Spanish route network to destinations such as Madrid, Seville, Granada, Santiago and Bilbao.

Vueling, part of the International Airlines Group, has its largest Spanish base at Barcelona and flies to more than 100 destinations.

Tony Hallwood, LBA aviation development director, said: “We welcome the addition of Vueling as LBA's newest carrier and this announcement is great news for Bradford and the Leeds City region.

Andy Caton, Bradford Chamber of Commerce president, added: "The new twice weekly service provided by Vueling will help drive inbound business and tourism flows to the region via their Barcelona hub and the onward connections to it from other destinations across Spain."
