One Direction and Little Mix are both set to perform at the Apple Music Festival tonight.

The world famous boyband will headline the show at the Roundhouse in London’s Camden, with The X Factor winning girlband as their special guests.

Niall Horan told fans how excited he is about the gig.

Last month the band hit the headlines when it was claimed they will split up in March next year after their latest world tour ends – shocking millions of devoted fans.

But Niall and his bandmate Louis Tomlinson told fans on Twitter the four-piece, also featuring Harry Styles and Liam Payne, would just be taking a “break”.

Fans are extremely excited about the possibility of One Direction and Little Mix sharing the same stage.

Little Mix have strong links with 1D, as both bands found fame on The X Factor and former One Direction star Zayn Malik having been engaged to Perrie Edwards. Zayn left One Direction in March and reports he and Perrie had also split emerged in August.

Other Twitter users are wondering if performing at the same venue could get a little awkward.

The Apple Music Festival offered fans the opportunity to win free tickets to watch the gigs, but for those who missed out the show will also be live streamed online.
