PLANS to turn empty buildings on an industrial estate into a Madrassa have been approved by Bradford Council.
The application to change the use of St John's House on the City Way Industrial Estate on Square Street, off Wakefield Road, were submitted by S Uddin and says the school will open from 5pm to 7pm on weekdays and 10am to 1pm on weekends. They add the school will be for up to 60 pupils aged between 7 and 14.
There had been no objections to the plans, and planning officers approved the application on the condition that the applicants stick to the specified opening times.
