A BRADFORD driver has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after allegedly running a red light in front of a police officer.
The officer was returning to Trafalgar House police station on Nelson Street when he is reported to have seen the car drive through a red light in front of him.
The driver was stopped and subsequently arrested after the officer allegedly smelt alcohol on him.
A police spokesman said: "Drink driving is simply dangerous and a menace to other road users.
"If other vehicles or pedestrians had been crossing the junction at the same time the consequences are clear.
"This driver now faces losing his licence."
