EIGHT people have been arrested after police raided a brothel following a tip off from the public.

The information led to a raid by vice squad officers and the Bradford East neighbourhood policing team. The eight people arrested are helping police with their enquiries.

Police have not yet released details of the raid, other than that it was in the Bowling and Barkerend area.

A police spokesman said: "The anti-social behaviour that surrounds this type of offence can cause untold damage to communities and makes people feel unsafe.

"The support of the community in identifying areas where any type of anti-social behaviour takes place is absolutely essential to assist in bringing offenders to justice. Please continue to report any areas of concern and we as your neighbourhood team will take every opportunity to reduce anti-social behaviour in whatever form it takes."

Anyone with information about criminal activity can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
