A male driver has died after a collision between a Suzuki Ignis car and a tanker lorry in Keighley Road, near Denholme, today.
The man was cut free from the vehicle by firefighters but died of his injuries.
His woman passenger was taken to Airedale General Hospital at Steeton following the accident which took place near the former Five Flags Hotel shortly before 2pm.
The driver of the Scania lorry was not believed to be hurt.
The road remained closed late this afternoon as police investigators examined the scene.
Fire crews from Illingworth, Keighley, Bingley and Cleckheaton attended the accident.
Traffic was being diverted over Manywells Brow into Keighley.
