A FOOTBALL fan is due to appear in court charged with making offensive remarks online after a match about the Bradford City Fire.
Mark Randall, 45, was arrested at his home in The Vale, Pleasley, Mansfield, on suspicion of causing racially or religiously aggravated harassment, alarm or distress by words or writing.
Randall is alleged to have posted the comments to a League One fans’ page on Facebook, referring to the fire that killed 56 people at Valley Parade on May 11, 1985.
He is to appear at North Derbyshire and Dales Magistrates’ Court on March 17.
