A TELEGRAPH & Argus reporter and photographer watched drivers at the junction of Wakefield Road and Croft Street in Bradford city centre to see if any were using their mobile phones.
Despite the junction being one of the busiest in the city, 15 drivers seemed to have no issue with blatantly using their phones while driving in the mid-afternoon weekday traffic.
Some drivers had their mobile phones up to their ears, while others appeared to be using the loudspeakers and some people were seen texting while at the wheel.
A few of those we spotted were using their phones despite passengers being next to them who could have taken the call.
Among the 15 phone users spotted in an hour were professional drivers, including someone at the wheel of a work van, a recovery vehicle driver and a private hire driver.
One man was even driving a large truck, its flat bed filled with rubble, while talking on the phone.
