REGULARS at Clayton’s Black Bull pub were challenged to grow a moustache for cash and raised £820 for Cancer Support Bradford & Airedale.
Landlady Cal Bell said the money would go in the fundraising pot that so far had made £13,239 for the charity in memory of her sister Mal Brown, and other customers who lost their fight against cancer.
And she is hoping a fun day at the pub planned for the May Spring Bank holiday will boost it to £15,000.
Her husband Dougie Bell was joined by father and son John and Jonathan Delahunty, Nigel Fieldhouse, Jeff Hart, Josh Smith, John McGann and Mick Warden in the moustache challenge.
Mrs Bell said: “As ever everyone has been so supportive and generous. We’re looking forward to the Spring Bank event and hope it will push our total so far over £15,000.”
Cancer Support Bradford & Airedale gives financial and emotional support to patients, family and carers. To find out more or to donate visit bradfordcancersupport.org.uk.
