The weir at Saltaire
A COUNCIL committee will discuss plans for a hydropower scheme in Saltaire.
Bradford Council wants to install the energy-generating scheme and fish pass at Salts Mill weir and on adjoining land in Roberts Park, but needs permission of the Trustees of Roberts Park.
The deal would see 5 per cent of profits ploughed back into the park.
Tomorrow, the Regulatory and Appeals Committee, acting on behalf of the trustees, will decide on the idea.
