AN ELDERLY man suffered a cut to his head following a scuffle with a burglar at his home in Bradford.
The 87-year-old and his wife were at their home in Whitehead Place, Fagley, when they heard a noise.
He went to investigate and found a man wearing dark clothing. There was an altercation and the intruder ran off empty handed.
The intruder is described as a black or Asian male, believed to be aged in his 20s, of athletic build, and between 5ft 10ins and 6ft tall.
Detective Inspector Richard Partis, of Bradford District CID, said: “We would like to hear from anyone who saw a man of similar description acting suspiciously in the area at the time of the incident.”
Anyone with information about the break-in, which occurred on Wednesday at about 4pm, should contact Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
