KEIGHLEY rock bands will play at the Cross Roads parish church next summer (correct) to help repairs to the church roof.

Local acts playing on two separate stages will be among highlights of a fun day at St James’s Church on June 6

Bluefruit Promotions has been asked to organise the event.

Spokesman Nathan Harrison said: “Throughout the day we have an acoustic stage with local Keighley acts and a main electric stage.

“As well as this we have stilt walkers, hook-a-duck, face-painting, stalls, tombolas, home-made baked and refreshments.”

Mr Harrison said many Haworth people and businesses were providing items for the day, and he invited more people to donate gifts.

Anyone willing to donate items should email bluefruitpromotions@gmail.com or call Mr Harrison on 07793 088850.

Alternatively, they can take items direct to the church any Sunday after the service at 11am in the church hall, or only Monday between 7pm and 9pm.
