PLAYING fields in Low Moor are to be protected for future generations thanks to a Queen’s Jubilee award.
Horsfall Playing Fields has been awarded a Queen Elizabeth II Fields in Trust Diamond Jubilee 2012 dedication.
Charity the Fields in Trust safeguards outdoor spaces for public access.
The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Award was set up in 2012 to support sport at grassroot level.
Bradford Council will work with the charity to protect and conserve the land.
Councillor Andrew Thornton said: “We’re delighted that Horsfall playing fields has been given this legacy status.”
A dedication plaque will be unveiled and trees planted at the site on Thursday in a ceremony.
