THE first director of education for the new Diocese of West Yorkshire and the Dales has been appointed.
Richard Noake, 50, will now lead a team across the whole of the new Anglican diocese in a department responsible for 250 Church of England schools with 54,000 pupils.
His appointment was announced by Bishop Nick Baines in his address to the Diocesan Synod.
Mr Noake, 50, said: βItβs a great privilege to be given the opportunity to be involved in the work of education in a brand new diocese.β
