STAFF at Bradford Council’s community care department have raised almost £1,400 for charity by serving up curry to hungry colleagues.
Funds raised by the team of workers will go towards the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
They cooked up more than 150 portions of chicken curry with pilau rice and served onion bhajis and samosas too. They were all sold in the Council’s Jacob’s Well offices. A variety of Firms in the area donated ingredients, and a raffle and tombola was also held.
Organiser Pauline Howes said: “It was absolutely fantastic. Everything went – all the food, all the raffle tickets and tombola, and all the buns. As for the curry, we could have done double!”
