AN ARCHAEOLOGY project on Rombalds Moor has failed to win a top prize at the English Heritage Angel awards.
Carved Stone Investigation (CSI) was among four projects shortlisted for Best Rescue of Any Other Type of Historic Building award.
CSI, run by development agency Pennine Prospects, was beaten to the prize by Inayat Omarji who carried out the rescue of All Souls’ Church in Bolton.
Pennine Prospects this week tweeted its congratulations to the CSI team.
CSI saw volunteers working on the moors above Riddlesden, Silsden, and Ilkley.
