FOUR primary schools are to be expanded to try to ease the demand for places.
Bradford Council’s Executive yesterday gave the go-ahead to enlarge Barkerend Primary School in Bradford, Wycliffe CE Primary in Shipley and Stocks Lane Primary School in Queensbury.
Councillors also noted plans to increase the size of Lidget Green Primary School – a decision the school’s governors will have the final say on.
Councillor Ralph Berry (Lab), executive member for children’s services, said: “Pressure on school places is very high.”
