A WEBSITE for victims and witnesses of crime set up by West Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner Mark Burns-Williamson was unveiled today.
Help for Victims will let people access all the information in the Victims’ Code and the Witness Charter if they have been a victim or witness to a crime and do not know where to ask for help.
The website, helpforvictims.co.uk, was being unveiled in Leeds by Victims’ Commissioner Baroness Newlove and Victim Support.
It is hoped the Ministry of Justice-funded website, also translated into the five most frequently spoken languages in West Yorkshire, will be used by other police forces.
Mr Burns-Williamson said: “This website will ensure victims and witnesses have access to all the knowledge they need.”
