THE McDonald’s ‘tidy team’ has joined forces with local youth services to tackle litter in and around a Guiseley park.
Staff from the town’s West Side restaurant and local community volunteers embarked on a mission to clean up Micklefield Park, an area said to be notorious for littering.
Now in its third year, the clean-up was one of a number of McDonald’s events taking place across the country as part of Keep Britain Tidy’s anti-littering campaign, ‘Love Where You Live’.
McDonald’s franchisee, Pritpal Singh, said: “It was inspiring to see members of the community join forces to take action against litter and tackle the weeds in the park.
“I’d like to thank the volunteers involved for their hard work and for setting a good example of what can be achieved if people pull together.”
