WORK on Denholme’s war memorial has been authorised ahead of the Remembrance Day service next month.
The memorial will be repointed and other repairs carried out ahead of the service and details are expected to be discussed at a meeting of Denholme Town Council tomorrow evening.
Councillors are expected to discuss details for both that service and a forthcoming carol service in the village.
Other items on the agenda include an update on progress towards achieving Denholme’s status as a dementia-friendly village and formulating a response to Bradford Council over that authority’s proposals for the future of its Youth Service buildings.
The council meets in the council chamber at Denholme Mechanics institute, from 7.30pm.
