BRADFORD'S young people can expect to have a bigger influence on policing in the city in future following the launch of a youth scrutiny panel to analyse how officers do their job.

Members will meet regularly to discuss random examples of how incidents affecting young people have been dealt with by police in the city, before offering their views, suggestions and criticisms.

Bradford Council leader Cllr Dave Green and West Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner Mark Burns-Williamson attended their first meeting, which focused on hate crime.
