TWO neglected cobbled streets are to be turned into huge outdoor firesides in an unusual art stunt.
Reclaimed coal-effect electric fires will be used to create an interactive light installation in the project, led by arts regeneration team The Brick Box.
Artists will use dance, storytelling and puppetry to encourage audiences to share of their home and community.
The first event will be held tomorrow in Bateman Street, Manningham, and the second will be a week later, on Saturday, October 18 at Cater Street, Little Germany.
Groups taking part include local events organisation Raise the Roof and Bradford-based Maho Dance Company.
The show will then travel to London where it will form a core element of Light Night Canning Town festival in November.
Brick Box co-director Eleanor Barrett said: "We are delighted to be producing these events in Bradford, my home town.
"As well as providing a way for people to join together and breathe life back into under-performing spaces, the project will encourage people to co-create and take part in cultural activity in new and exciting ways."
