Village's First World War heroes to be remembered in exhibition
COTTINGLEY'S First World War heroes will be honoured with an exhibition in the village's Cornerstone Centre next month.
Over 150 local men served during the conflict of whom 30 gave their lives and five received awards for gallantry.
After several years research, Cottingley Village History Society has produced Remembering Cottingley's Heroes of WW1 which will be staged on Saturday, November 8 and Sunday, November 9, from 10am until 4pm on both days. Admission is free.
