Four people were checked over by paramedics after breathing in smoke from a flat fire.
A bag of rubbish caught fire in the kitchen of a ground floor flat in Yateholm Drive, Westwood Park, Horton Bank Top, Bradford, just before 5pm today.
The middle-aged woman occupier put out the flames with a bucket of water but smoke spread to the stairwell of the building. Several residents fled the flats when the smoke alarm went off.
Minor damage was caused to the flat.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
