A hair salon will throw open its doors to the public for its grand opening on Saturday - nearly 50 years after it started.
The June Caneo Hair Salon, on Bradford Road, Guiseley, began life as Joyce Dixon's hairdressing salon on The Parade, at White Cross, back in 1958.
Mrs Dixon's daughter, June, joined the business straight after leaving school and took over the salon, which has enjoyed a major extension and re-fit.
Mrs Caneo said: "Now that we've been able to extend the salon and bring in state-of-the-art equipment, we thought it was about time we had an official opening, even if it is 50 years too late."
One of Mrs Caneo's oldest friends, Mark Hinchliffe, a former Pulse radio DJ, will cut the ribbon at 2pm on Saturday to mark the occasion.
