Just two games survived the weather in the Bradford Sunday Alliance League.

In Division Four, Idle AFC beat Lord Clyde 3-1, while in the third round of the Sunday Cup, Bradford Youth went down 1-0 at home to Otley Road.

Bradford Youth have been a dominant force in Division Four this season while Otley Road were unbeaten in all competitions prior to kick off and lead Division 2A.

Otley Road came out of the traps the brighter and took the lead on five minutes through top-scorer John Selby, Danny Mullarky with the assist.

Otley Road went on applying pressure and were dominant for the remainder of the half, with Youth's goalkeeper pulling off a string of fine saves to keep them out.

After the break, it was Youth who took the game to Otley Road, with man of the match Steve Brandon - brother of Huddersfield Town midfielder Chris - at centre back working hard to keep the Youth attack at bay.

Otley Road will meet either Thornton FC or Beldon Sports in the fourth round.

The Bradford Sunday Alliance League have not made much progress since the turn of the year due to the bad weather.

When the wintery conditions finally relent, teams in all divisions will have to be prepared to play plenty of matches and, unfortunatutely for the teams that have had success in the cup competitions, they will be playing night matches at the end of the season.

There have been a number of leaders in the Premier Division and any number of clubs could be crowned champions.

Early-season front-runners Bolton Woods returned to winning ways recently and they still remain in the Bradford & District Sunday Senior Cup and the League Cup.

Albion Sports will certainly be there or thereabouts when the trophies are handed out at the end of the season while current leaders AFC Pudsey have only been beaten once - by Bolton Woods - and that was early in the season.

The favourites at this stage must be Silsden. They have already beaten Albion Sports 3-1 and have yet to taste defeat in the Premier Division, dropping only two points.

The relegation battle is between Whetley Lane and AFCChellow, with both clubs still to record their first victory.
