Police and the fire service are investigating a suspected overnight arson attack on a house in Edge End Road, Buttershaw, Bradford.
Firefighters from Odsal were called out at 3.17am yesterday to put out a blaze around the front door.
A fire service spokesman said it was suspected that the fire was started deliberately.
The Fire Investigation Team and the police were making inquiries.
A man and woman in their 50s were in the house at the time.
One of the occupants was given oxygen but neither needed hospital treatment.
The blaze damaged the door and smoke-logged a corridor leading to the stairs.
