A 24-year-old Bradford woman is critically ill in hospital after she was struck by a car that failed to stop.
Bradford South Police are appealing for information following the accident at about 2am yesterday.
The woman was crossing Mayo Avenue, near the junction with Mayo Road, when she was in collision with a car that failed to stop.
She was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary where she was said to be in a critical condition.
Police believe the car was travelling from Staygate roundabout along Mayo Avenue towards Manchester Road. They are appealing for the driver to come forward.
They also want anyone who saw the collision or who has noticed a car with overnight accident damage to contact them on 376459.
