Bulls boss Steve McNamara isn't flustered by his side's loss at Hull KR.

They went down 16-8 at the Super League newboys tonight in the club's second pre-season outing.

Bulls were limited to tries from Ian Henderson and Ritchie Hawkyard but McNamara wasn't concerned.

"I was really, really pleased for us," he said. "I thought it was a good work-out for both sides.

"We managed to play some of our players and also give some of the part-time kids some game time.

"I felt they held their hand up really, really well but the big thing for us was to come through it with no injuries.

"That was the main thing, so we're happy.

"No disrespect to Hull KR but it's good to get the match out of the way and from the team aspect, that won't resemble anything like the one we'll be putting out for round one of Super League."

The likes of Shontayne Hape, Paul Deacon, Andy Lynch, David Solomona and Glenn Morrison have all yet to make their pre-season bows.

However, McNamara was buoyed to see Iestyn Harris make his comeback yesterday after a knee injury.

The stand-off, who had surgery in October, played more than an hour of the Craven Park friendly and came through unscathed.

"There have been doubts about whether Iestyn would make the start of the season or not," said McNamara.

"Well, he's dispelled those now. He had some contact and got some game time, which was important for him."
